PATCH

by Axel Bjurström and Mia Cullin for Materia

One-of-a-kind Patch

Patch pieces together sustainability and design. What makes this stool special is its manufacturing process. Designers Mia Cullin and Axel Bjurström developed an upcycled product that redefines environmentally conscious design. The seat comprises three parts which are individually upholstered in fabric remnants from the production process. Each piece in the three-part stool has a different fabric, all within a specific spectrum of color. Patch has a stackable steel frame with upholstery options in seven different color scales within a range of hues. Adding a pop of personality to the workplace or on a college campus, Patch has a refreshing sense of style.
