RUT takes home NYCxDESIGN Award
We attended the 8th edition of Interior Design's NYCxDESIGN Awards on Thursday, May 18, in Manhattan, along with 500 designers, architects, and manufacturers. NYCxDESIGN Award Winner RUT prevailed in the Contract Sofa category. This prestigious award recognizes exceptional products and projects across various categories, highlighting the very best talents in the industry. A jury of industry leaders reviews submissions, and we are honored that RUT's innovation and beauty resonate with the design community.

The square modular sofa system, designed by furniture designers Thomas Bernstrand and Stefan Borselius, delivers the feeling of home to the contract world of design. RUT's steel framework and solid build portray light and airy as it suspends above the ground. The system's foundation is supported by a sturdy steel H-beam that securely slots into substantial blocks of solid wood. The square modules lock securely into the steel beam in any desired direction. Unmatched in versatility, the modules build a linear system, left or right L-shaped sofas, and can arrange double-wide or back-to-back. In addition, the modules can rearrange, be substituted, or the system can grow to accommodate the needs of the interior over time.
The system lends interiors flexibility, comfort, and choice. Lines are blurring between the home office and the office home, and RUT was designed to bridge the gap.
